Preferred Age: 21+
Design and implement CIT Program Curriculum
Coach participants in regards to professionality, working with children and being a steward of camp
Reside in cabin with program participants
Evaluate CIT participant progress for volunteer and staffing considerations
Regularly communicate with Program Director about program and participant progress and needs
Work over the weekend as required by CIT Program Schedule
Fill in as a Camp Counselor when outside of program weeks
Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
Ensure the emotional, mental, and physical safety of all participants
Complete required paperwork in timely manner
Work in tandem with other camp staff to create a safe and welcoming experience for all
Effectively manage camper behavior and homesickness
Inform leadership staff of any camper or staff concerns
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills
Be of good character, and in sympathy with the goals and objectives of YMCA Camp Piomingo
