Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
Oversee a cabin group for duration of camp session
Reside in cabin with program participants
Ensure the emotional, mental, and physical safety of all participants
Complete required paperwork in timely manner
Work in tandem with other Camp Counselors and camp staff to create a safe and welcoming experience for all
Ensure cleanliness of cabins, units, and program areas
Effectively manage camper behavior and homesickness
Inform leadership staff of any camper concerns
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills
Be of good character, and in sympathy with the goals and objectives of YMCA Camp Piomingo
Other duties as assigned
SHIFT: Sunday – Friday, daily hourly breaks, housing and meals provided
STARTING SALARY: $400+/week (DOE)
STATUS: Part-time; Non-exempt, Seasonal
