Sports & Recreation Coordinator

As the Sports & Recreation Coordinator, you’ll lead and support a variety of sports programs and events—from single-day clinics to seasonal leagues. You’ll manage scheduling, rentals, and staffing while helping grow community engagement through innovative programming. This role also supports billing, marketing, and sponsorship efforts—all while representing the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in every interaction.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field (preferred)
• Previous experience with program development or coaching
• CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, team-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Required PA clearances: State Police, Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprinting

What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our Sports & Rec team, you’ll:

• Coordinate single-day events, camps, clinics, and facility rentals
• Support planning for seasonal leagues and multi-day programs
• Handle scheduling, game coordination, and officials
• Develop new programming to increase participation and community use
• Recruit and onboard coaches, volunteers, and interns
• Manage billing and follow up on program invoices
• Collaborate with marketing to promote events and secure sponsorships
• Represent the Y’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all interactions
