Under the direction of the Senior Director of Youth Development, the Base Director is responsible for planning and assisting with the daily program as it relates to children and their daily activities. Major emphasis is on program excellence and developing quality care of the highest standard. The Base Director will support ongoing program continuity by ensuring that scheduled program and facility use plans are followed and adhering to MSDE regulations and standards.
Incumbent must be 21 years of age and possess 90 hr. School Age Credit Classes and 12 hours of continued training every year, must meet all MSDE regulations and have experience leading groups of children which include:
800 Hours of experience
AND
90 hours in Childcare Development and School Age Curriculum or a related field with a plan of study leading to a credential AND two years’ experience related to caring for children (one of the years has to be working with school age children).
