The Business System Analyst, HRIS Data plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the YMCA by leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence in Human Resources. This role is responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing HRIS data across local associations, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the UKG Pro system. The Business Analyst partners with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, streamline processes, and enhance the overall employee experience through data-driven solutions.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HRIS, data analysis, or business systems; experience with UKG Pro and Workforce Management preferred.
  • Proficiency in data auditing, data mining, and Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in training and supporting end users on HRIS platforms.
  • YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.

  • Collaborate with Implemendation team to conduct data migration and validation efforts during HRIS implementations, ensuring accurate migration from legacy systems to UKG Pro.
  • Collaborate with HR and local stakeholders to identify data trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Design, develop, and deliver standard and ad hoc reports to support HR strategy, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Manage mass data updates (e.g., merit increases, deductions) to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve Level 1 HRIS issues not addressed by the HR Operations Team.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation, training materials, and user guides to promote system adoption and data literacy.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive HR data in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Support audits and compliance reporting by compiling and analyzing relevant HRIS data.
  • Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements to improve data quality and user experience.
